بتا رہی ہیں ضیائیں یہاں سے گزرے ہیں

حضور کیا روشِ کہکشاں سے گزرے ہیں

ہوئے ہیں آج وہ عنوانِ داستانِ جمال

وگرنہ یوں تو ہر اِک داستاں سے گزرے ہیں

ہر ایک بزم میں کہتے ہیں فخر سے جبریل

حضور خاص مِرے آشیاں سے گزرے ہیں

“The stars are telling that they have passed from here,
What splendorous procession has the presence passed through?
Today, those titles of beauty’s tale have been bestowed,
Otherwise, they have passed through every tale just so.
In every gathering, Gabriel proudly proclaims,
That the special presence has passed from my abode.
This is the brief tale of the Night of Ascension,
Where none passed from, there it passed from.”
