Sufi Story : The Heavenly Apple of Mansoor Hallaj
Ibn Nasir was ill and longed for apple, which were out of season in Baghdad. Mansoor Hallaj performed a miracle and produced one.
When Ibn Nasir took a bite, it was infested with a worm.
“How can a miracle fruit of heavenly origin has such decay?”, someone asked.
Hallaj responded: “Since the fruit was of heavenly origin and entered a place of imperfection, it received the decays of this imperfect abode, which is an inherent attribute of this world.”
