Lalon Fakir [aka Lalan Shah] was a popular Bengali mystic, author, songwriter and reformer. He was one of the thinkers who heavily influenced Rabindranath Tagore and Nazrul Islam as he propagated the message of breaking away from caste and creed system. His poetry still inspires modern Bangladesh.
