ان کا انداز کرم، ان پہ وہ آنا دل کا
ہاے وہ وقت، وہ باتیں، وہ زمانہ دل کا
نہ سنا اس نے توجہ سے فسانہ دل کا
عمر گزری ہے مگر، درد نہ جانا دل کا
دل لگی ، دل کی لگی ، بن کے مٹا دیتی ہے
ر وگ دشمن کو بھی اے رب نہ لگانا دل کا
وہ بھی اپنے نہ ہوے ، دل بھی گیا ہاتھوں سے
ایسے آنے سے تو بہتر تھا ، نہ آنا دل کا
یاد ہے وعدہ اُنہیں، ان کا بھلانا دل کا
ہاے وہ وقت، وہ باتیں، وہ زمانہ دل کا
میری نظریں تھیں وہاں، میری ہی نظر اب تک

جب ملا، دل نے کہا، ان کا فسانہ دل کا

غم بھی ہے، دل بھی ہے، دل کا سہارا بھی ہے

English Translation:
Their way of kindness, and their touching my heart
Oh, that time, those talks, that era of my heart
They didn’t listen attentively to the tale of my heart
Life has passed, but they didn’t understand the pain of my heart
Love and the attachment of the heart, end up erasing it
Even an enemy should not suffer the affliction of the heart, O Lord
