Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum is a signature kalam in praise of Allah, performed in form of a Qawwali. It featured in Encyclopedia Encarta [Microsoft] as introduction to Qawwali. It is one Nusrat Sahib’s oldest Qawwalis, and has a history of many hundreds of years behind it.
