Ghalib ke Khatoot [Letters of Mirza Asadullah Khan Ghalib] are often eclipsed by his Diwan, yet remain an important part of Urdu Literature. They also provide context of life of Ghalib, who went through Financial Difficulties throughout his life. As evident in this recitation by Zia Mohyeddin, Ghalib writes to Mirza Alauddin about financial issues which is trying is tackle through rationing drinking at night. Ghalib complains that he swears that there are only few rupees remaining in pocket and with a frozen credit line, addressee should be ready for Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.
