The Existence of God

My friends often ask me, “Do you believe in the existence of God”?

I think I am entitled to know the meaning of the terms used in this question before I answer it. My friends ought to explain to me what they mean by “believe,” “existence” and “God”, especially by the last two, if they want an answer to their question.

I confess I do not understand these terms; and whenever I cross-examine them I find that they do not understand them either.
