Nusrat Fateh Ali was credited as his making Qawwali genre known globally and his tracks such as Tere Bin Nahin Lagda Dil and Mere Rashke-e-Qamar and Afreen Afreen became part of MTV charts of the time, which predominately was about Rock and Pop music.
Nusrat Sahib remain the first artists who featured in Hollywood, Bollywood as well as Lollywood and his influence over time has only increased. He continues to inspire living legends such as Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Atif Aslam, Zain Zohaib and many many more.
