Who is the true Lover? Sufi Story of 3 Moths

There is Sufi story of 3 Moths and their meeting with their beloved, the Candle flame.

The First Moth sat besides the flame and exclaimed, “I have met my beloved and I know what true love is”

The Second Moth dared to go close to the lamp and burned a wing. He declared, “I have met my beloved and I know what true love means”

The Third Moth jumped into the flamed and annihilated itself. He never lived to make such statements that “I met my beloved and understood meaning of true love”.

Only the 3rd Moth was the one who had real reunion with his beloved and found the meaning of true love.
